WILLIAM Richard "Bill" BURR Sr.

BURR WILLIAM Richard "Bill" SR. Age 82, formerly of Blue Bell, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, in Country Meadows, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Anne M. (Gargan) Burr for 52 years before her passing on January 27, 2019. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late William C. and Lucy M. (Wernett) Burr. Bill was a graduate of Abington Senior High School. He was a US Army veteran and served with the Army Security Agency in Turkey as a code breaker. Mr. Burr was a Public Insurance Adjuster for 50 years and retired from Young Adjustment Co., Blue Bell in 2020. Bill was a former president and long-time member of NAPIA. He was also a member of the Aaron Burr Assoc. Bill was a member of and involved with the youth sports with the Whitpain Recreation Assoc. He was the Judge of Elections at local polling sites and was a volunteer with McKinley Fire Co. Bill was a very active member of the Second Church of Christ, Scientist in Philadelphia for over 75 years. Survivors: Daughter: Victoria A. Miller and her husband Cristin of Coopersburg; Sons: William R. Burr, Jr. and his wife Mary Kate of Havertown, Scott A. Burr and his wife Mandy of Gilbertsville; Grandchildren: Weston, Jordan, Alex, Madison, Shannon, McKenna, Colleen, Kiera; Great-granddaughter: Shaye-Ann; Brother: Frank A. Burr and his wife Dale of Willow Grove. Bill was predeceased by a daughter Christine Marie Burr and by a sister Ann Victoria Burr. Services: 2:30P.M.
